Wrap-up 5 - the state of affairs
There is so much to do.
Issues are connected => problems are trans-border
i.e. The current financial changes in the world:
Effects not limited to the west or north
The decline in tax base in the north impact development
Instability leads to more social violence\
Challenges bring along new opportunities:
More people volunteer and study
New ideas and methods

Nonprofit-NGO sector needs
Diversity and skills are necessities:
Innovative ideas,
An open mind to understand diverse ways of seeing.
Business and Activist skills - admin, org mgt., advocacy, community outreach, research, care, arts, PR, cyber/IT etc.
Approaches at different levels - gov’t, bureaucracy, community, individual, groups
And you need a positive attitude and a lot of commitment -
social/global problems are not easily solved.

Innovative ideas - One person can make a difference!
